Jennie Nguyen was fired from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City in January after a slew of racist social media comments went viral. Nguyen was slammed by viewers after the old posts resurfaced. The rest of the RHOSLC cast was prepared to move on without Jennie, but she has some supporters.
Co-star Lisa Barlow has come to Jennie Nguyen’s defense. Barlow spoke to TMZ recently at LAX where she was asked what she thought of the situation. Lisa said she has not heard much from Jennie since she was fired from the show.
Barlow noted that the RHOSLC cast has been taking the news hard. Lisa said she is all for people getting second changes. The reality star thinks Jennie Nguyen should be among those who receive one.
“I think everyone in life deserves a second chance. That’s what we’re trying to do. Just be a little better every single day. Hopefully we learn from our mistakes and don’t make them again.”
Producer Andy Cohen has condemned the racist posts. It does not seem as though he has considered bringing Jennie Back. Still, Lisa Barlow made her case for Nguyen to get another shot.
RHOSLC fans will have to wait and see if Jennie Nguyen is ever welcomed back to the show. For now, it looks like that won’t be the case. Lisa Barlow thinks everyone, including Jennie, should get a chance at redemption.
