Russia isn’t stopping in its attempts to bring down Ukraine but the European nation is continuing to fight off Kremlin’s war mongering attitude. Amid the ongoing war, the Russian government sanctioned several top U.S. officials.
Russia’s foreign ministry Tuesday, March 15 said it had placed sanctions on 13 U.S. officials including President Joe Biden, his son Hunter and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
While the latest sanctions block their entry into Russia and freeze any assets held in the country, they won’t impede necessary high-level contacts for the affected individuals.
Hillary Clinton, who was the Democratic Presidential nominee in the 2016 U.S. elections against Donald Trump, took to Twitter to mock the Russian government over its latest attempts to sabotage international relations.
I want to thank the Russian Academy for this Lifetime Achievement Award.
The former Secretary of State had a hilarious response to sanctions and compared Russia placing her on the list to getting a lifetime achievement award. Check out the tweet below.
