Kevin Holland is quickly becoming the superhero of UFC. After dispatching Alex Oliveira with a second-round TKO at UFC 272, Holland once again stepped up in the name of the law. Fight fans might recall that Holland stopped a car thief in action last fall. Kevin has done it once again.
The 22-7-0 welterweight star was out for Sushi at Houston’s Ra Sushi late on Monday night. It was then that someone entered the restaurant and fired a shot into the air. Most diners ducked for cover. Kevin Holland is not most diners.
Holland rushed the shooter to help stop the scary incident without anyone being harmed. Two other customers joined Kevin to subdue the crook. Patrick Robinson was among those heroes. Robinson described the scene to ABC 13.
“We were eating, and the next thing you know, a gunshot just popped off. So everything paused and then everybody started running to get down under a table.
We got him down, apprehended him, got the gun away from him and the bag that he had.”
The chaos was over before police even arrived at the scene. The suspect faces charges of possession of a stolen gun and discharging a firearm indoors. Kevin Holland is the hero that UFC deserves.
