Norman Reedus is most known for his appearance on AMC’s The Walking Dead as Daryl Dixon. The made its way onto screens back in 2011 and since then it has turned into one of the most popular shows involving zombies.
Page Six reports, the star suffered a head injury on the sets of “The Walking Dead.” The outlet confirmed Reedus is on the road to recovery. The actor’s publicist, Jeffrey Chassen confirmed with the outlet that this took place.
“Norman suffered a concussion on set, He is recovering well and will return to work soon. Thank you to everyone for their concern.”
An insider shared with the outlet, the accident took place on March 11 in Georgia, where the AMC series is currently being filmed. A rep for AMC told Page Six, “We can confirm it will push series wrap by a few days,”
However, as of now exactly how Reedus was injured remains unclear. It should be noted, a source confirmed to the outlet that the actor went to the hospital on Friday. The source added, “He’s resting and recuperating,”
Meanwhile, “The Walking Dead” is in its 11th and final season. Additionally, Deadline reported, Reedus and his co-star Melissa McBride are expected to star in a spinoff of the show in 2023. The actors will reprise their “Walking Dead” roles for the new series.
