AEW announced last year that it had partnered with Yuke’s to develop a new video game. The two sides are still working on different aspects of the wrestling game. The company’s gaming division earlier this month released a sneak peek at the General Manager simulator of their mobile game.
Fightful Select recently reported that certain wrestlers are providing their input on the game’s story mode. The outlet added that the Yuke’s team that was involved in the creation of the legendary SmackDown vs. RAW games is working on said story mode.
“There’s a story mode, which we’re told is being worked on to include some input from certain wrestlers themselves. In addition, we’ve heard that several of the Yuke’s team that helped create fondly remembered Smackdown vs. Raw games are a part of this process as well.
“There are several wrestlers that we’ve heard from that haven’t had anything to do with the video game thus far and aren’t sure if they’ll be included or involved. Others have taken reference photos, but haven’t done voice overs.”
The company’s gaming division has not provided a release date of yet. It is worth mentioning that the AEW Games has a lot of projects in the pipeline. Fans are eagerly awaiting the game’s release and there’s no denying that.
