Popular television shows such as Gossip Girl and How I Met Your Mother are getting reboots, but the main gossip is about whether Friends will be getting a reboot as well. This idea was not very convincing for Friends fans but Lisa Kudrow seems to have a positive feeling about it and doesn’t mind if it happens in the future. The actress recently attended the premiere of Better Nate Than Ever and weighed in on the idea of a Friends reboot.
In an interview with The Buzz Kudrow was asked whether she would be okay if a reboot of Friends was made, she replied, “I would. I would love to see what the now version of that would be. I would love to see what that would be.” Lisa who played Phoebe Buffay further said that it would have to be an entirely new cast.
The entire Friends cast was last seen together for the reunion special last year which was released on August 26. The episode featured all the lead cast members Kudrow, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Matthew Perry, all back together on the set. The episode was full of emotions as it recreated some very funny as well as nostalgic scenes.
The stars also made some surprising revelations in the reunion episode. Many celebrities were invited to join the cast members. The episode also shows Lisa Kudrow teaming up with Lady Gaga to perform her character’s famous song, Smelly Cat. We’ll keep our fingers crossed for a decent reboot, if it happens.
