Von Miller was sent to the Los Angeles Rams in a blockbuster deal that helped bolster LA’s defense en route to a win in Super Bowl LVI. Miller and Aaron Donald created chaos for opposing quarterbacks. With two championships securely in his pocket, Von decided to go for the money.

Miller’s new destination isn’t exactly the worst place to land, either. Von Miller has signed a massive, six-year, $120 million deal with the Buffalo Bills. Buffalo came tantalizingly close to getting back to the Super Bowl for the first time since the 1990s last season.

Von Miller could be the piece that brings their defensive puzzle together. NFL.com reported that the massive deal is mostly backloaded. Von Miller will receive an average of $17.5 million for his first four seasons in Buffalo. $51 million of that is guaranteed.

The Rams were expected to push hard to keep Von Miller for 2022. The team continued to try and sign the veteran edge rusher through Wednesday. In the end, Buffalo was able to entice him to become a Bill.

The Bills weren’t done improving their team on Wednesday. Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end OJ Howard also signed with Buffalo. Both additions were officially announced by the team yesterday.

The Bills are serious about competing for a Super Bowl title. The addition of Von Miller should bolster their defense for years to come. A potent offensive attack led by Josh Allen was nearly enough to do the trick last season. Buffalo could be very dangerous in 2022.
