Hip-hop music is synchronous with cars, money, alcohol, and most importantly jewelry. It’s hard to find rappers who have not drowned themselves with expensive custom-made pieces. This time Drake has shown off his uber-expensive necklace to the public.
Drake took to Instagram on Friday and posted a series of photos of himself and other associates. In a few of them, he is seen rocking an iced-out necklace from Homer, Frank Ocean’s high-end apparel and accessories brand. That necklace is the most expensive item in the brand’s lineup priced at just shy of $1.9M, reported Complex.
According to Homer’s website, the necklace features pavé links and .33 inch white diamonds on each orb. It also has the same patterns on the four branches on the head-turning floating pendant. The item currently sold-out item weighs in at a total of whopping 127.5 carats.
However, this is not the only time we have seen Drizzy with such an expensive piece of jewelry. He has previously iced himself up in multiple Cartier designs, a Toronto Raptors Championship Ring, etc. Apart from these, he has frequently boasted custom pieces from industry heavyweights like Ben Baller, Jason Arasheben, and Kilani.
It’s no secret that the hip-hop industry has a love affair with jewelry, and Drake is no exception. While he may be seen flaunting an uber-expensive necklace from Frank Ocean’s brand, Homer, he has also been spotted sporting custom name necklaces that are just as eye-catching. Imagine having your name spelled out in necklace, just like Drake! The rapper is known for his love of custom jewelry, and his collection boasts pieces from some of the biggest names in the industry. However, a custom name necklace is a personal touch that can make a statement without breaking the bank. It’s a unique piece that can be treasured for years to come, and who knows, maybe one day it will be just as iconic as some of Drake’s famous bling.
Coming to the brand itself, Ocean launched Homer in August 2021. The singer termed his company as an “independent American luxury company.” The brand initially began with a selection of bracelets, rings, enamel pendants, and patterned silk scarves. They later unveiled a Prada collaboration that included belts, bags, and a hooded anorak jacket.
Similar to most artists in the industry, Drake likes to brag. His affinity towards expensive things has made him a subject of constant attention. When it comes to attention, he has our all through his music.
