Real Housewives of New York star Luann de Lesseps had to deal with a lot of heat recently. At first, she denied getting booted of the New York City piano bar. But now she has issued an apology for her actions.
According to Page Six Luann De Lesseps drunkenly took over the mic at a gay piano bar, belting out tunes while screaming profanity at patrons “f*ck you” before she was eventually kicked out. After denying that she was given the boot, Luann de Lesseps has issued an apology for causing a scene at the gay piano bar, Townhouse.
Not just that, the RHONY alum also admitted that she has a “problem” with alcohol. “This week, after a regrettable incident I was faced with the truth,” the Real Housewives of New York City alum wrote via Instagram on Saturday. “I want to apologize to the staff at Townhouse and anyone else I may have offended by my behavior. Clearly my struggles with alcohol are real!”
Over the years, the reality star publicly battled her addiction. She spent time in rehab and made continued efforts to maintain her sobriety. “While I’ve made great strides over the years, there’s been times where I’ve fallen. It’s one day at a time,” she went on. “I’m in recovery and taking steps to ensure this doesn’t happen again. I’m grateful to my family and my friends for their constant support, sincerely, LuAnn,” she concluded.
De Lesseps has had her struggles with being sober. She was arrested in 2017 in Palm Beach, Florida on Christmas Eve for being drunk and disorderly. She agreed to plead guilty to battery, trespassing and disorderly intoxication in exchange for the felony charge against her being reduced.
It’s commendable that Luann is learning from her mistakes. She has come forward and accepted her wrong doings, which takes a lot of courage. We wish Luann the best in her journey towards sobriety.
