Britney Spears is finally back to making music after being away for six years. Her last album was Glory which came out back in 2016. After spending 13-years in conservatorship, she is finally making the best of her newfound freedom by doing what she loves the most.
According to a source close to Britney, The Sun reports that the 40-year-old pop star “isn’t putting any pressure on herself to release an album right away or anything, her team is beginning to put feelers out about the prospect of new music.” That sure sounds like hopeful enough news.
“Several people who she feels comfortable working with have been contacted and asked if they would like to work on music with Britney again and everyone seems pretty keen to be involved,” the source told the outlet.
It was pointed out that despite going through mental and physical abuse during her years in conservatorship she still loves music and looks forward to creating it.
“She has been through an incredibly tough few years but deep down she does love making music and performing so to have some new music out there could really help her turn over a new leaf.”
Spears has sold over 150 million records worldwide, and her six-year hiatus has only increased the demand for new music. She is an icon in the pop industry. Britney released four albums while she was bound by her conservatorship. However, in 2019 she started to refuse to work on any new music in a protest to get out of the arrangement.
