The COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect everyone in the world and that includes the likes of MMA fighters, musicians and more. Even Korn’s Jonathan Davis is still suffering from the effects of COVID-19. Dana White made an interesting claim as well.
However, with vaccines becoming available, people don’t seem to care as much about wearing masks. When the pandemic started back in 2020, it led to a lot of loss for businesses all over the world as they were brought to a standstill.
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has shaken the world as tensions continue to rise. The invasion has already resulted in numerous casualties from both sides. The situation continues to escalate and many people fear the worst right now
While speaking to My Mom’s Basement, UFC President Dana White claimed that the COVID-19 pandemic was worse for the FUC than the Russia-Ukraine war.
“First of all, we always have visa issues… But one thing I must say, think about what’s going on right now [Russia-Ukraine war], we got every Russian out of there and you know, they’re all fighting on the card… After Covid, when Covid started shutting down things, it all happened so fast. I tell you the stories from back when it went down. I would literally get all this stuff done, would leave work, drive home, by the time I got home, everything we had just planned would be [cancelled].”
Quite a few major fights in the UFC were cancelled back in 2020 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Things might be better now, but people still should take extra care and be vigilant in order to not spread the virus.
