Dr. Dre is one of the most well-known figures in the rap industry. Dre’s divorce from Nicole Young was one of Hollywood’s messiest divorces, as well as one of the most expensive. Nicole was recently spotted online for the first time since winning a $100 million divorce settlement from Dr. Dre.
Nicole Young, Dr. Dre’s ex-wife, has reappeared online after going MIA since receiving a $100 million divorce settlement from the legendary rapper. Young recently posted an album of photos to Instagram for the first time in over 6 months, showcasing the now single mother of two who is ready to take on the world.
Young took four photos and shared them on her Instagram account. One of the photos shows the newly single 52-year-old mother wearing a thigh-high grey dress and black string high heels while standing next to her and Dre’s 18-year-old daughter Truly Young giving her the stink eye. Two selfies and a picture of her sitting down showing off her legs and flaunting her new expensive F-patterned handbag are among the other photos.
After the two called it quits, Dr. Dre was forced to pay Young $100 million in a divorce settlement. Dre initially believed he would only have to pay $2.5 million of his $829 million net worth, even going so far as to throw a “Divorced AF” party complete with balloons. However, the rapper eventually agreed to the much larger settlement.
The prenup barred the mother of two from claiming half of the rap icon and music mogul’s assets and stipulated that she pay her own legal fees. Dre joked that if his wife had settled last year, she could have afforded to appear as a “friendly ex-wife” at the Super Bowl halftime show.
Young was able to keep four of the ten vehicles they owned as a couple, as well as a king’s ransom in jewels, cash, and luxury items amassed by the two over the course of their relationship. Dre, on the other hand, was able to keep all seven of his properties, which included his Malibu home, two in Calabasas, a $100 million estate in Brentwood, and three other residences scattered throughout the Los Angeles area.
Dre and Young were married for over two decades before calling it quits. Young allegedly served divorce papers on the famous rapper during his late grandmother’s funeral in October 2020. To get the latest updates, keep an eye on Thirsty.
