HBO’s reboot for “Sex and The City” premiered in December of last year. The series failed to impress audiences unlike the original show. It appears, “And Just Like That” will come around for another stint on HBO Max.
Sex and the City revival, And Just Like That has been renewed for a second season, despite poor reviews and some criticism from fans calling the show ‘too woke.’ The news for confirmed by executive producer Michael Patrick in a statement.
‘I am delighted and excited to tell more stories about these vibrant, bold characters — played by these powerful, amazing actors, The fact is, we’re all thrilled. And Just like That… our Sex life is back.’
Three of the four original casts of the show, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon will be back on HBO Max screens after successfully moving ahead with the series without Kim Cattrall. Sarah Aubrey, the Head of Original Content at HBO Max, released a statement.
‘We’ve been delighted by the cultural conversation generated by these characters and their stories, set in a world we already know and love so much.’
Sarah Aubrey also said in the statement, ‘We are proud of the work Michael Patrick King and our wonderful writers, producers, cast and crew have done to bring these stories to the screen. We can’t wait for fans to see what’s in store for season 2!’ The official And Just Like That Instagram account also posted the confirmation with an iconic line from the show that read, ‘hello again, lovers…’
