Saweetie Teases Her Date For The Grammy Awards

Saweetie is one of the most popular acts in the industry. The music sensation is a first time nominee at the Grammy Music Awards. It appears, she can’t wait to hit Las Vegas, Nevada, for the official ceremony on April 3rd.

The Bay Area rapper is nominated for Best New Artist and Best Rap Song for her 2021 hit, “Best Friend,” featuring Doja Cat. Whether Saweetie takes home the gold or not, the singer certainly has big plans for the event. During a conversation with the PEOPLE Every Day podcast on March 21, Saweetie opened up about her Grammy nominations.

The 28-year-old rapper shared, she already knows what she wants to do with her trophy if she wins. She said at the podcast, “I have to like put it somewhere special, almost make it look like a museum in my house, like put something around it.” As far as her planned outfit for the event is concerned, Saweetie said, “Everything expensive and everything exclusive and everything icy.”

The Grammys awards ceremony brings out A-list celebrities and their dates.  In her interview, the Icy Girl revealed someone will be accompanying her to the show but refused to reveal who that mystery man might be. She said in a response to the question about a date, “You just going to have to wait and see, but somebody is definitely going to be on my arm,”
