WWE 2k22 finally came out last week, after a lot of hype and expectations behind it. After the colossal failure that was 2k20, fans were not looking forward to 2k22 at all. Thankfully, the game turned out to be a huge hit with fans and critics alike.
For a while now there were rumors that WWE and 2K’s relationship was not the best and that WWE was looking to work with other companies. Rumors suggested that WWE even contacted EA Games to possibly work on their future games.
Ronnie Singh is 2K sports’ digital marketing director. He recently took to Twitter and uploaded a photo of himself and the 2k crew being at WWE headquarters. He also debunked rumors that the company won’t work with 2K anymore.
“The two biggest heels in the biz sitting in the boss’s @WWE chair.
In all seriousness, such a pleasure meeting a person I have long admired for her presence, business acumen & philanthropy @StephMcMahon
To partnering on many more @wwegames launches.
Shoutout to @WWE and @StephMcMahon for the continued partnership and an amazing launch of #WWE2K22. Here’s to many more years of success! #ItHitsDifferent”
So it seems WWE and 2k games will be working together for a very long time now. WWE 2k22 also has an extensive lineup of DLC planned for the coming months, which include the likes of Machine Gun Kelly and Logan Paul as playable characters. Fans are glad WWE 2k22 is actually fun to play and that is what matters in the end.
