Colin Kaepernick is trying to return to the NFL, and as you might expect it’s not going to be easy. This is especially true since he hasn’t played in almost five years. Kaepernick is still working out with NFL wide receivers, and his arm strength and accuracy appear to be good for the most part. He also has his eye on Seattle.
Five different teams have inquired about Kaepernick, with Pete Carroll and the Seattle Seahawks being the only team to publicly express genuine interest in the quarterback.
While speaking to The Athletic, Kaepernick recently responded to the Seahawks’ comments. He said that they are a team with whom he has been in constant touch over the previous few weeks.
Still hopeful. There’s been a lot of conversation around it. We’ve had conversations with Pete and John (Schneider) previously. As Pete mentioned, we’ve spoken recently and still hoping that door is open and get a chance to walk through it.
Colin Kaepernick was shunned from the NFL after a controversial choice to take a knee. His entire stance for kneeling during the national anthem was to speak for victims of police brutality, racial injustice, and oppression. Kaepernick wants the National Football League to know that he still has some game.
The Seahawks recently parted ways with quarterback Russell Wilson, and Drew Lock isn’t a viable replacement. With that in mind, it’s possible that Kaepernick will be given a tryout. Until then, keep an eye on Thirsty For News for all of the newest football news and updates.
