Gable Steveson became a household name after his astounding performance at the Tokyo Olympics last year. He won the gold medal in wrestling in the 125 kg weight class. Steveson also addressed an issue he might face during his time in WWE.
After many months of rumors and speculation last year, which dominated headlines, Gable Steveson finally sighed a contract with WWE. Since then, fans have been eagerly waiting to see Steveson’s debut in WWE.
While speaking on The MMA Hour, Gable Steveson talked about making his way to WWE now that he is done with his amateur wrestling duties. Steveson revealed that he will use his real name in WWE. He then addressed an issue with sharing his name with WWE Superstar Chad Gable.
“I’ll be just Gable. Gable Steveson. We’re gonna have to have a talk with him. I mean, I don’t when I’m gonna even talk to him. It could be WrestleMania, it could be somewhere else. I’m just not sure. You can’t (have two Gables). You can’t but right now we do. So there might have to be a little switcharoo. I don’t know, but I love Chad too. He’s a cool dude.”
Ric Flair also thinks WWE should focus on training Gable Steveson for the first year in WWE. We’ll have to see how Gable Steveson will fare in WWE in the coming months.
