For many, Bob Saget was a genius when it came to comedy, especially thanks to his work in Full House. Saget passed away earlier this year, as the world continues to mourn him. Saget’s upcoming Netflix comedy memorial will feature The Rock as well.
As previously reported, Bob Saget passed away due to head trauma. Saget’s family even filed a lawsuit to prevent the release of death investigation records. Now it seems numerous celebrities plan to pay tribute to the legend in a great way.
According to TMZ, Bob Saget’s fans will be able to see a funny and touching tribute that his close friends made for him. Quite a few top celebrities are part of the memorial as well.
Mike Binder, one of Bob’s best friends, is the man behind January’s event at The Comedy Store in West Hollywood. Binder revealed that the memorial will arrive on Netflix in June.
Binder made the announcement on the Dystopia Tonight! with John Poveromo podcast. Binder revealed that he convinced Netflix after showing a video of the star-studded event to the streaming platform giant’s head of comedy.
Mike Binder even shared one clip featuring Jim Carrey, Chris Rock, John Stamos, Jeff Ross and John Mayer. The Rock especially dropped a very cool punchline as well. Binder added that the special will even have a big Hollywood premiere at the Netflix Is a Joke Comedy Festival. We’ll have to see how successful it will end up being.
