Charlie Puth Tears Up Talking About The Worst Breakup Of His Life

Charli Puth has established himself amongst the top musicians in the industry. The singer has entertained fans with back to back hits. Recently, Puth became emotional while discussing his new single, That’s Hilarious.

Puth took to social media on Thursday to talk about his new single, That’s Hilarious. In the video posted to Instagram, Puth teared up as he announced his latest release. He added that hearing the master version of the song brought him back to 2019, which he calls ‘The f*****g worst year of my life.’

Puth revealed ‘I never told people what happened to me and the pain that I went through going through the worst breakup of my life in 2019,’ The We Don’t Talk Anymore hitmaker captioned the video with ‘This is a very hard song for me to listen to, but it’s worth it… “That’s Hilarious” coming in April.’

In the one-minute-and-29-second long clip he is seen wearing a white tank top layered with two gold chains around his neck. Puth began his video by saying ‘Hey everybody, so I’m going to put out That’s Hilarious as the next single.’ Soon after, Puth began to tear up as he said,

 ‘And… you know, I’m really excited for the song to come out. But every time I hear it I’m brought back to a time that was really, really challenging in my life.’
