Nipsey Hussle tragically lost his life back in March of 2019 after he was fatally shot outside his store Marathon Clothing in South Los Angeles. His alleged killer, Eric R. Holder was arrested and charged with murder in April of that year. It seems nearly three years after his death, his family is at war over his daughter’s custody.
Tanisha Foster, Nipsey Hussle’s ex-wife, is keen to reclaim full custody of their 13-year-old daughter, Emani Asghedom, and has asked the court to end the present guardianship. Foster made her demands in freshly filed court documents acquired by The Blast, which show how Emani’s guardians include members of Nipsey’s family who are also fighting to safeguard his daughter’s well-being.
Tanisha’s motivation for [the guardianship] was in recognition of her own financial limitations; her desire to maintain the standard of living and family contact the minor had experienced with the paternal family prior to her father’s death; and upon the verbal assurances that each of them would act in the best interests of Emani.
Foster claimed she hasn’t had that experience since, so she’s looking for a neutral experience financial planner to manage her daughter’s inheritance. In addition to Emani, the Los Angeles native had a son Kross with actress girlfriend Lauren London, with whom he was in a public relationship when he died in March 2019.
Hussle was tragically murdered at the height of his career. having recently received a Grammy nomination for his debut studio album, Victory Lap, for Best Rap Album. Foster claimed that their relationship didn’t begin to shift until after Emani’s arrangement was established in stone. Keep an eye on Thirsty to stay updated on this developing story.
