John Cena’s role as the Peacemaker made fans see him in a whole different way. So much so, that he currently has his own Peacemaker spinoff series. In fact, the spinoff is DC’s best-reviewed project to date.
The show concluded its first season last month, as fans were certainly happy with how season 1 wrapped up its story. In fact, the first season even broke a huge HBO Max streaming record as well.
The final episode of the first season also included cameos from DCEU stars Jason Momoa and Ezra Miller as Aquaman and The Flash respectively. Fans certainly loved the cameos as well.
While speaking with Total Film, director Jame Gunn talked about the details of the cameo appearances in the finale episode of Peacemaker. Gunn hinted at more DCEU cameos in the future as well.
“I think we’re going to see more connections in some other stuff as we move forward with Peacemaker and other shows at HBO Max. So those [cameos] will keep coming. I don’t know if the Justice League is going to show up in every season of Peacemaker; that might be a one-time thing. We’ll see!”
Peacemaker’s second season on HBO Max was already greenlit even before the first season ended. Cena previously stated that he would love to have The Rock in the Peacemaker’s second season, so we wonder if that will end up happening or not.
