Lil Durk is on his way to unprecedented heights, and he has no plans to stop. Over the course of his ten-year career, he’s gone from the streets of Chicago to the Def Jam offices, and now to the helm of the OTF empire. The release of 7220 only served to solidify his place as a rap powerhouse.
The rapper recently spoke with The Full Send podcast about his new project, his feature rate, and so on. The rapper was asked at one point during the conversation, “Who are the three people running the game with you?”. Outside of the household names who have established themselves as legends, he added that he will present his personal recommendations.
Durk said:
“You got [Lil] Baby. I’mma name my three. Not the three who the world already know. So, [Lil] Baby. I’ma say Kodak [Black]. This not including the Thug’s and Future’s and nem — and then I’ma say 21 Savage.”
With each of the rappers he mentioned, Durk has a great track record of collaboration. With their combined effort, Voice Of The Heroes, Durk’s first chart-topping album was made possible. Meanwhile, on the Back For Everything standout “Take You Back,” he and Yak teamed up. The project’s only highlight was Durk.
Durk and 21 Savage previously collaborated on “Die Slow,” and their collaboration on Nardo Wick’s “Who Want Smoke??” with G Herbo just soared to the top of the Billboard Hot 100. However, keep an eye on Thirsty for the latest up-to-date news on the collaboration.
