Kyrie Irving is one of the finest players in the NBA, and he will be a free agent this summer. Of course, everyone expects him to re-sign with the Nets, but Kyrie has always been a bit of a wildcard in these situations. He does, however, have plenty of reasons to stay with a team that includes Kevin Durant and Ben Simmons.
Kyrie was recently asked by SY Nets Video about his plans for next season and he is very much eager in staying put. Kyrie stated that he is having a lot of fun right now and believes that Brooklyn is where he belongs. Irving also talked about his long-term plans, revealing that he has no intention of leaving Kevin Durant in Brooklyn when his contract expires.
I love it here. Once summertime hits, I know that we’ll have some conversations but there’s no way I can leave my man 7 anywhere. To be honest, I signed up for this for the long run. I love this year. I’m grateful. It has not been the prototypical year. But when I look at my teammates and I look at what we have as an organization. I’m looking for the long run and what we can do, legacy talk.
Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets are about to get serious. A wild season that saw Irving miss a ton of games due to his refusal to be vaccinated against COVID-19 has met the team with mixed success. Kyrie Irving is currently laser-focused on success in the second half of the season.
This is going to be a fantastic offseason to watch, and Irving’s final choice will be a big part of that. With that in mind, keep an eye on Thirsty for News for all of the newest NBA news and information.
