Drake has recently got into the basketball trading card market and it looks like he’s going all in. Just a couple of weeks ago, he bought cards worth $200K, and he pulled a rare Michael Jordan rookie card.
During the weekend, Drake got together with Ken Goldin from Goldin Auctions, who helped him pull cards from 10 boxes. These boxes had 1986 Fleer cards and some Flawless cases. According to TMZ, the Flawless cases can cost up to $46K, which gives an idea of how much Drake spent on his haul.
Goldin was opening the cards while Drake sat beside him watching. When it was Drake’s turn to take over cracking the packs, the whole investment was quite fruitful for him as he won a 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan rookie card. After that, he went on to pull five more such rookie cards. Talk about good luck!
Drake ultimately hit 6 Jordan’s, 3 rookie cards, and 3 stickers, before he and Ken stopped their Instagram live. Drake’s haul could be worth over $1 million, which is definitely not bad for one night’s work.
It looks like Drake’s investments are finally paying off. While not everyone’s luck might not always be this good, the trading card market is seeing a bull run at the moment.
