Howard Stern Says Will Smith’s Chris Rock Slap Is A Sign Of Great Mental Illness

Will Smith stunned the world when he slapped Chris Rock in the face during the Oscars last night. Some speculated that the exchange was staged, however this was not the case. Smith was incensed after Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s alopecia, which resulted in the smack that has since gone viral.

The Fresh Prince’s assault on Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars disturbed Howard Stern. He believes the “King Richard” star is suffering from immense mental illness. In response to Rock’s jab at Jada Pinkett Smith’s bald head, Stern said on his Sirius XM Show recently.

This is a sign of great mental illness when you can’t control your impulse. Not only that, it was hardly an insulting joke. It was not even a good joke. The joke, quite frankly, was beneath Chris Rock. It was a throwaway. ‘You look like G.I. Jane.’ He didn’t think twice about what he was about to do. Now that’s crazy, when you can’t contain yourself like that. Poor Chris Rock is a comedian and just trying to get through the day to make the f–king people laugh at that horrible ceremony. [Rock is] so fast comedy wise, he actually covered and made a joke and said, ‘Gee, best Oscars yet.’ He was able to comment outside of what just happened to him and then he got flustered. He got f–ked over.

Stern contended that what viewers saw on TV was a man with real problems. The radio host argued that Rock, who he regarded as a sweet soul rather than a combatant, was only doing his job, while Smith was clearly insane. Stern defended Rock’s remarks, claiming that the joke wasn’t very insulting.

Stern also said that it was unacceptable that no one intervened to stop the situation from spiraling out of control, instead allowing Smith to remain in the crowd. At first, Stern believed the incident was staged, but later concluded it was simply Smith acting on impulse.

Smith only got up to fight Rock because he’s considerably bigger than the comic, the radio host said. Stern also remarked on how unusual it is that Smith was not arrested for his blatant assault on Rock, despite the fact that Rock is allegedly not filing charges.
