Katy Perry Suffers Wardrobe Malfunction On American Idol

Celebrities are no stranger to wardrobe malfunctions. Sometimes they happen because of poor handling of skin-tight outfits. One such incident happened with Katy Perry on the latest episode of American Idol.

The 37-year-old pop star appeared on the show wearing a pair of red leather hot pants and an edgy animal print top. At the same time, performing in front of the audience at the talent show, the audience saw her bottoms split.

Katy was performing her 2010 hit Teenage Dream with her fellow judges on the show, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan. During the performance, the long-running show witnessed Katy’s mishap, People obtained an exclusive clip of the accident.

Katy crouched down when she uttered the lyrics, ‘Let you put your hands on me in my skintight jeans,’ and that’s when her skintight leather pants divided in two, bringing the performance to a halt. Katy proudly posted the clip to her Instagram as you can see below.

Katy was soon assisted by crew members, who helped her put tape over the exposed area on her bottom. She was left with T-shaped tape along her backside. Her fellow Judge Luke also joined the crew members in applying tape on Katy.
