Will Smith and Chris Rock created history but for all the wrong reasons. After Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s hair, Smith stormed the stage and struck Rock in the face, earning the award for Best Actor in a Leading Role. Needless to say, it was an exciting night in the entertainment world, with many people on the tip of their seats.
Lil Durk recently took a jab at Chris Rock by pulling a reference to his own song from the album 7220. Durk’s song “What Happened To Virgil” featuring Gunna got the catchphrase “Oh my God, what happened to Virgil?” It’s quite a trendy one on TikTok and Durk used it comment on the Oscars fiasco.

Today’s news is full of heated opinions regarding the incident, with some stating that it was a full-fledged attack that should be denounced. Others, such as Nicki Minaj, are on Smith’s side, claiming that he was merely attempting to protect his wife’s interests.
Durk is on his way to unprecedented heights, and he has no plans to stop. Over the course of his ten-year career, he’s gone from the streets of Chicago to the Def Jam offices, and now to the helm of the OTF empire.
