Cardi is coming through with another hot take on twitter. Cardi B fans always gets involved in the battle of the Stans. Now, it seems like Cardi is sick of twitter stan wars, especially the fans’ tendency to be involved in race baiting.
Race is often a hot topic to argue on on twitter. The top two female rap icons, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B’s fans are constantly at each other throats. The fans aka “stans” find anything to dig up dirt on each other, from race to chart stats.
Bardi gang (Cardi B fans) and Barbs (Nicki Minaj fans) have been feuding for ages. Cardi B is usually criticized for appropriating black culture. However, this time it seems like Cardi is hinting at some thing else. Cardi B believes real life situations must not be used to race bait by fans.
Race baiting refers to the unfair use of statements about race to try to influence the actions or attitudes of a particular group of people. Cardi could be hinting at Zoe Kravitz and the backlash she is receiving for heavily criticizing Will Smith’s actions at the Oscars. The “WAP” rapper could also be expressing her opinions on the term in general.
In 2019, Cardi posted a tweet about her issues with the word “Queer Baiting.” After a Rolling Stone article discussed straight celebrities queer baiting to gain influence on the LGBTQ+ community and included Cardi B in their list of celebrities. Cardi B spoke out about the term not applying to her as she is bisexual. Whatever it is, Cardi’s new hot take on race baiting is getting a lot of traction on twitter.
