Scott Steiner will finally get his well-deserved induction into the WWE Hall of Fame this weekend. The controversial star was legendary in the 80s and 90s as the tag team partner of his brother, Rick. The Steiner Brothers earned their place as one of the most innovative duos of their era.
Huge singles success followed his run as a tag team wrestler. Scott Steiner became one of the major stars of the latter days of WCW. Steiner also had a run with WWE before being blackballed by the company.
The emergence of Scott’s nephew, Bron Breakker, as a top star in NXT made the Steiner Brothers’ inclusion in the Hall of Fame a no-brainer. While that will go down on Friday, Scott recently made another TV appearance. Steiner appeared as a witness on Judge Steve Harvey to help settle a dispute over some independent wrestling appearances by former Survivor and TNA star Johnny Fairplay. Scott was in full character during his testimony.
“I’m Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner, and I’ve worked for Ron many times. I’ve got Ronnie’s back on this one. I worked on three of his shows, the first one got cancelled, and the second one got rained out. This happens in other sports such as football, baseball and golf; I mean, he can’t control the weather. And for the third show, I was paid in full.
Johnny needs to stop being a little bitch. If you don’t like it, wrestle me for the money!”
Steve Harvey said he is familiar with Big Poppa Pump. The pretend judge suggested that Johnny stay out of the ring with Scott Steiner. Ultimately, Fairplay was awarded $5,000 for the canceled dates. Scott Steiner doesn’t appear to have lost a step.
