British Boyband, “The Wanted” singer Tom Parker died earlier this afternoon following a battle with brain cancer. Tom was diagnosed with brain cancer back in October 2020. He was only 33.
The band’s social media page and his wife announced of his passing. Tom Parker was diagnosed with stage four glioblastoma. The tumor is the most common form of brain cancer.
Tom Parker died a peaceful death. Sharing a black and white image of Tom, The Wanted’s Instagram posted: “Max, Jay, Siva, Nathan and the whole Wanted family are devastated by the tragic and premature loss of their bandmate Tom Parker.” They also mentioned that Tom passed away peacefully surrounded by his family as well as his band mates.
The singer had all his loved ones by his side. His wife Kelsey Hardwick wrote on Instagram: “Our hearts are broken. Tom was the center of our world. We can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence.” Her post continued: “We are truly thankful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all unite to ensure Tom’s light continues to shine for his beautiful children. Thank you to everyone who has supported in his care throughout, he fought until the very end. I’m forever proud of you.”
The pair had two young children together. 2-year-old Aurelia and 1-year-old Bodhi. RIP Tom Parker 1988-2022.
