Will Smith has been the talk of the town since slapping Chris Rock on the stage at this weekend’s Oscars. Zoe Kravitz is the latest celebrity to criticize Will Smith at the 94th Academy Awards, remarking on the event in two Instagram postings.
Catwoman herself posted a snapshot of herself on the red carpet to Instagram on Tuesday, captioning it, “Here’s a picture of my dress at the show where we are apparently assaulting people on stage now.” When Smith hit Rock across the face for making fun of his wife, Kravitz was in the crowd at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre.
Rock compared the “Red Table Talk” host to Demi Moore’s bald-headed character “G.I. Jane,” who suffers from alopecia and shaved her head last summer. Smith attempted to shrug off the statement but grew enraged when he noticed Pinkett Smith’s displeasure. After that, the actor stormed the stage, accosting a befuddled and stunned Rock.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Smith is expected to face disciplinary action, including the suspension of his Academy membership. His Best Actor Oscar, which he received for his portrayal of “King Richard” on Sunday night, is less likely to be revoked.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Rock decided not to file a police report against Smith for his onstage smack. Meanwhile, in the aftermath of her husband’s outburst, Pinkett Smith has called for peace.
