Idris Elba Does Not Understand Why People Find Him Sexy

Idris Elba is an incredibly handsome and humble man. Elba is known for his distinctive and deep voice. Soon going to turn 50, Elba is often categorized as an attractive older man. However, he does not understand the hype behind it.

Idris was named PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive 2018. Ever since then, he has only gained popularity. Elba made an appearance on Thursday’s episode of Loose Women. He spoke about his upcoming voiceover role as Knuckles in Sonic 2.

Given that it is an animated film for people of all ages, Idris said he didn’t want the fictional character to sound sexy. The acclaimed actor said he put on a ‘stern’ and even deeper voice instead.

The host argues that people are still finding the video game character’s voice sexy. Being all very humble, he explained to the host: “I’m baffled. I think I sound like a market trader from Canning Town. ‘Get your fish here, £10!’, that’s expensive fish, but I don’t necessarily think my voice is sexy… but hey, I’ll take the compliment.”

Idris went on to speak about turning 50 in September to hosts Ruth Langsford and Kellé Bryan. The “Luther” actor admitted that he feels like he is still in his 30s. ‘I am 50. Honestly, I can’t even believe it, I still feel like I’m 35, even though I don’t look it,’ he added. In addition to the Sonic film, Elba will be reprising his hit role as Luther for an upcoming movie.
