Kanye West is an industry sensation whose performances really shouldn’t be missed by anyone. There have been rumors that Kanye West will not be performing at the Grammys. Fortunately, it was just announced that Kanye West is considering the Grammys.
After all the controversies, Kanye West might make it to the Grammy stage. According to a recent report from HITS Daily Double, the Recording Academy is in “conversations” with Kanye West about performing at the show on Sunday.
This is surprising because Ye’s camp said he was “banned” from performing at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards. According to a publicist for the DONDA rapper, Ye was removed from the roster of artists owing to his “concerning internet activity.”
It’s possible that his decision was influenced by his contentious remarks about Grammy host Trevor Noah. After the “Daily Show” host commented on his “harassment” of Kim Kardashian, Ye used a racial slur at Noah in a since-deleted Instagram post, resulting in a 24-hour suspension from Instagram. Since the brief restriction, ye has not returned to the social networking platform.
Ye is up for five Grammys this year, including Album of the Year, Best Rap Album, and Best Rap Song. According to HITS, before Sunday’s ceremony at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, the Grammys are anticipated to make “at least one more announcement of performers.” Along with Ye, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, and Lady Gaga are said to be in talks with the producers.
Nas, Billie Eilish, H.E.R., Lil Nas X with Jack Harlow, J Balvin, John Legend, and Silk Sonic, who will open the ceremony, are among the officially announced Grammy performers. For further updates stay tuned to Thirsty.
