Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly have cemented their status as the new Hollywood power couple. It doesn’t appear that MGK and Megan Fox’s trippy romance will be ending anytime soon. The rapper/singer spilled the beans about their recent Ayahuasca trip to Costa Rica, which went horribly wrong.
During a recent interview with Howard Stern, Machine Gun Kelly confessed that his relationship with Megan Fox is his first true intense relationship. According to Billboard, the rapper-turned-punk musician even expressed concern that the two were in a hazardous place early in their relationship.
This is the first true intense relationship that I’ve been in. At the time, yeah, I think we were in a dangerous place… what led us to search for healing in ways of, like, the plant medicine, ayahuasca.
Stern was comforted when the 31-year-old musician emphasized that he didn’t have a death wish, despite what grim songs like Sid & Nancy may suggest. He went on to say that his song 5150 was the first song he composed for his new album Sellout, and that the dark lyrics were inspired by his fears that he and Megan were in a dark place early in their relationship.
MGK wore a long black twill overcoat with black-and-white lapels, a sheer black shirt, baggy black slacks with straps, and white platform shoes to Stern’s studio. Because of the violent nature of some of MGK’s lyrics, Stern wondered if he had a death wish earlier in their conversation. MGK believed the lyrics and premise were very lovely, but they were exaggerated for dramatic effect and not meant to be taken literally.
Machine Gun Kelly revealed that he had been having counselling to assist him reconcile feelings of abandonment he received from his mother when he was a child. In addition to that, he has been resolving their early possessiveness with ayahuasca excursions. The therapy helped the two reestablish a relationship in a cool way.
