The world is a difficult place and sometimes sad stories are unavoidable. Sadly, the story of Raven Alexis ended far too soon.
Award winning adult film star Raven Alexis has passed away. She was battling Crohn’s disease and was suffering a life threatening infection. Raven was only 35-years-old.
The adult entertainer’s husband confirmed her death in a video message posted on Instagram and Facebook on Thursday. However, according to Adult Video News (AVN) her husband has not been named out of privacy concerns.
“I want all those people out there to know that she loved you all, she cared about you and I’m just so blessed to have her in my life and be a part of my life” he said. “She was the absolute world to me, the love of my life.”
He said she was brought to a local hospital on March 20 with some complications and some stomach Crohn’s/colitis issues she had dealt with. Crohn’s Disease is an inflammatory condition that affects the digestive tract. She Specifically succumbed to septic shock, when one’s blood pressure drops to a dangerously low level while her body tried to fight off an infection.
Alexis broke onto the porn scene as an internet model, helming the adult membership sites RavenAlexis.com and RavensPlayhouse.com. Following her independent adult entertainment ventures the blossoming adult film star was hired by production company Digital Playhouse. She worked with the platform from 2009 to 2010 and went on to earn a 2011 AVN Awards nomination for Best New Starlet.
Alexis’ death comes after the adult film industry was shocked by the death of transgender porn star Angelina Please. The adult entertainer whose real name was Francesca Montalbano was found dead in her Las Vegas flat earlier this month after going missing for nearly a week. The family has now raised more than $20,000 on GoFundMe to bring Francesca’s body back to Chicago, where she grew up, for burial.
