Hope Solo Arrested For DUI & Child Endangerment

Hope Solo was one of the biggest women’s soccer stars in the world at one point. Few athletes have seen a downfall as dramatic as Hope. The legendary goalkeeper was arrested on Thursday after being charged with driving drunk while she had her two children in the car. Solo is also being investigated for child abuse.

The 40-year-old has won two Olympic gold medals and a World Cup title. Despite all the glory, Hope found herself in handcuffs in a Walmart parking lot in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Hope Solo was booked at the Forsyth County jail.

TMZ Sports reports that Hope was arrested for impaired driving, resisting arrest, and misdemeanor child abuse. This is not the first time Solo has been in the crosshairs of law enforcement.

Hope Solo has a previous rap sheet that includes a domestic violence arrest. Solo has also been arrested for threatening to beat up a cop. Additionally, Hope was nailed for a physical fight with her teenage nephew.

Hope Solo’s children are twins who recently celebrated their 2nd birthdays. It has not been confirmed that her kids were the ones in the car, but that appears to be the most likely scenario. Solo’s drunk driving arrest showed a complete lack of judgment as she endangered both of their lives.

The future is not looking great for the embattled soccer star. Hope Solo was once a hero to girls across the country. Now, she will have to face the consequences for her terrible decision.
