Massive Drum Circle Memorial Held In Taylor Hawkins’ Hometown Of Laguna Beach

Taylor Hawkins’ untimely death stunned and saddened those who knew and loved him. After his death, many celebrities who worked with him paid tributes, expressing their grief. Hawkins’ fans recently gathered in Laguna Beach to pay tribute to him with a drum circle.

According to TMZ, Taylor Hawkins’ fans and childhood friends are paying tribute to him in his hometown with a fitting tribute on the same beach where he loved to surf. Several dozen people formed a drum circle in the sand in Laguna Beach, the picturesque town where he grew up and later purchased a beachfront home.

The drummers, along with some acoustic guitarists, gathered on Aliso Beach Park, which locals noted was one of Taylor’s favourite spots to catch waves. When the Foo Fighters drummer moved back to the area, he reconnected with some of his high school pals. Despite his worldwide fame and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year, Taylor’s friends said that he never exuded rock star energy when he was present.

Taylor was found dead in his hotel room last Friday in Bogota, Colombia, where Foo was scheduled to perform. They’d been headlining festival shows across South America. Since the news broke, fans and celebrities have been paying tribute to the drummer.

Dave Grohl and his band announced earlier this week that they were cancelling all tour dates in the aftermath of drummer Taylor Hawkins’ death. For the rest of 2022, the band had more than 50 shows planned, including stops in the United States, Canada, France, the United Kingdom, Australia, and other countries.
