Mike Dean is one of the most successful people in the music industry. The producer has 7 Grammys and a total of 18 nominations. However, he missed out on a Grammy for his work with Ye and chose to direct his anger at BTS.
Mike Dean is the latest target of the BTS Army. The K-pop band’s fan army is one of the most relentless fanbase, going after anyone who dares throw shade at their favorite performers.
Over the weekend, Dean, who worked with Kanye West on his DONDA project, among other past endeavors, took out his frustrations over losing out on a Grammy Award on the boy band. Dean’s comments soon caught the attention of the fan army and he found himself as the target of some serious wrath.
After facing heat from the K-Pop band’s fans, Dean promptly offered up an apology. He admitted that he was upset after losing out on a Grammy for his work with Ye.
The 57-year-old wrote, “OK. SORRY TO BTS. JUST F*CKING TROLLING,” after being called out for responding “Anyone,” to a post from the Recording Academy asking users to name a group “smoother” than BTS. In another post, Dean shared, “Ok folks. I was mad about Album of the Year and made a post I shouldn’t have made. My gf just made me feel bad for it.”
