Fans were utterly shocked when legendary golfer Tiger Woods was involved in a horrific car crash in Los Angeles on February 23rd last year. The mystery surrounding the crash puzzled fans for a long time as well. Woods has now confirmed what many people have been speculating for a long time.
The accident led to an hours-long major surgery on his leg as he suffered comminuted open fractures that required a rod, screws and pins to fix. Woods was still using crutches till late July last year in order to get around.
Thankfully, Tiger Woods has recovered exceptionally well, more than a year since the accident. He was also in high spirits during a recent practice game at Augusta.
According to TMZ, Tiger Woods officially announced at a news conference at Augusta, where he revealed that he will be taking part in the Master’s this week, saying “as of right now” he has plans to tee it up when the tournament begins on Thursday.
“I can hit it just fine. I don’t have any qualms about what I can do physically from a golf standpoint.”
Woods admitted he is worried about working around the course on his surgically repaired leg. We will have to wait and see how Tiger Woods will fare in the Master’s this week.
