It’s been nearly three years since YNW Melly was arrested in his native state of Florida on murder-related accusations. In 2018, YNW Melly was charged with the two of his fellow artists, Christopher “YNW Juvy” Thomas Jr. and Anthony “YNW Sakchaser” Williams. The rapper’s long-awaited murder trial finally kicked off on March 7th.
Throughout the entire legal process, YNW has maintained his innocence. His family also claimed his innocence on March 25, with his mother Jamie King and brother YNW Bslime going on the record to say they’re confident Melly will be home in May.
King claimed on the We In Miami podcast that the “Mixed Personalities” will be back in May. King calmly stated “May,” while Bslime chimed in to say that if “a jury is picked fast” Melly could even be home in late April. The claim from Melly’s mother comes as the Florida rapper remains behind bars and has faced an uphill battle to try and get released.
However, it appears King might be lying about certain things. In a new call recording circulating on the internet, Melly called out his mom for lying about the situation. Melly can be heard saying in the video that “whoever entertaining that sh*it, whatever going on bruh, it is not what it is.”
Melly further said that “my mama be lying, my mama got anxiety issues.” He also said, “my mama be tripping, complaining and lying. She’s been lying for some time now.” As of now, it’s still unknown what prompted this sudden outburst from Melly after all this time. Meanwhile, you can listen to the whole clip below.
