During the Oscars Award ceremony this year, things took an unexpected turn after Will Smith brutally slapped Chris Rock following a joke about Smith’s wife. Right after this, many people wanted actions taken against Will Smith. Billy Bush also recently defended Will Smith by the looks of it.
While speaking to TMZ, television host Billy Bush talked about Will Smith’s Oscars incident. He hit back at people trying to cancel Will Smith, calling it “crazy” and “ridiculous.”
Billy Bush stated that one bad moment doesn’t define a person’s whole life, even if it is something as bad as Smith slapping Rock at the Oscars. Bush did not defend Smith but said that people can snap from time to time.
Bush added that Will Smith has already suffered a lot for what he did, asking, “You don’t think that guy’s hurting enough?” Bush said that he contacted Will’s publicist and urged the actor to read a book called “The Daily Stoic.”
Jada Pinkett Smith also said that she wished Will Smith did not end up slapping Chris Rock. Will Smith has learned his lesson from this incident and we hope it never happens again.
