Will Smith was banned for 10 years from Academy events after slapping Chris Rock for telling a joke. This was a stiff penalty, and 50 Cent isn’t afraid to ruffle anyone’s feathers to speak out about it.

The ban comes days after the “Hancock” actor slapped comedian Chris Rock for making a joke about Will Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith’s, hair loss. Chris Rock apparently did not know about Jada’s medical condition.

Rapper 50 cent took to Twitter to react to the ban announced for Will Smith. The rap mogul Will Smith won’t come back to Academy events till he reaches the age of 63. Here’s what he tweeted.

Got Damn they doing Will dirty, This is too harsh so he cant come back till he 63 years old. (facepalm emoji) and the law suit ain’t even hit yet. SMH #bransoncognac#lecheminduroi

Will won the Oscar for Best Actor following the on-air incident. He initially apologized to The Academy and his fellow nominees for what he did but did not apologize to Chris. He later issued a public statement.
