Elon Musk is the wealthiest man walking the surface of this planet. The 50-year-old always has surprises up his sleeves and there’s no denying that. Musk pulled off another superb publicity stunt when he bought a 9.2% stake in Twitter.

Musk was invited by Twitter to join its Board of Directors, an offer he declined. Twitter COE Parag Agrawal announced on Sunday evening that the CEO of Tesla Motors had rejected the offer to join the Twitter Board of Directors.

Had Musk taken a board seat, he would have been limited in how much of the company’s shares he could own, with a 14.9 percent cap. He might have also accepted Dogecoin for Twitter premium services. Elon Musk has yet to publicly comment on his decision to reject the offer.

Musk posted and deleted a cryptic tweet following the announcement that he won’t be joining the board. Fox News reporter Joseph Wulfsohn took an SS of said tweet. Musk simply tweeted out the coy laughter emoji then deleted it.

It seems that no job is too serious for Musk and he does whatever he wants. He has already suggested radical changes to Twitter Premium. We’ll have to wait and see what else Musk has in store for the internet.
