Kat Von D is known for her tattoo work and makeup line. The former reality television star is getting out of Los Angeles, but there is an issue with the people who own the building where she made her livelihood.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Kat Von D is being sued for unpaid rent and damages. The High Voltage Tattoo in West Hollywood might be closing, but the drama remains.
The lawsuit claims that Kat owes over $92,000 for remodeling fees as well as unpaid back rent. That rent is said to be for several months in 2020 and rent that has yet to come in 2022. Kat Von D’s camp has not returned a request for comment.
According to the suit, Kat is being dinged for removing ceiling tiles, painting the ceiling, removing wallpaper from the entire store and demolishing a wall in the middle of the shop.
This is not the first time that High Voltage Tattoo in West Hollywood saw drama. The shop saw a fire and car crashes into nearby businesses. Now Kat Von D will have to pony up the dough or face the consequences.
Kat is moving out of California, and she her mansion up for sale at $15 million. That happens to be the same home that they used in the 2003 Steve Martin film “Cheaper By The Dozen.” There is nothing cheap about that pad though.
We’ll have to see if Kat Von D can figure something out. Moving always has its fair share of headaches involved, but this was certainly unexpected.
