Tish Cyrus Files For Divorce From Billy Ray Cyrus In Couple’s Third Split

Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus have given their relationship multiple second chances. In three decades of marriage, the couple had split up twice before, only to reconcile. Previously, divorce papers were filed in 2010 and 2013. Both were called off before they could be finalized.

Tish Cyrus has now filed for divorce for a second time. The 2010 filing came on Billy Ray’s behalf. Rumors began swirling when Billy was not with the family during the holidays.

TMZ reports that the divorce proceedings were started last week in Tennessee. The couple has five children together. All of them, including pop star Miley Cyrus, are adults. There won’t be any messy custody battles in the split.

Tish cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce. She has petitioned the court to equally distribute all marital assets. It appears Tish Cyrus wants this to be easy and clean.

The last time Tish Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus were seen together in public was in 2020. The couple was wed in 1993 in their living room. Miley married Liam Hemsworth on that exact spot in 2018 before the couple divorced in 2020.

Hopefully, the Cyrus family can keep things amicable in the separation. Celebrity divorces always have the potential of becoming a media circus. It looks like Tish and Billy Ray are trying their best to avoid that.
