Amber Heard Blames Johnny Depp Of Assault During Defamation Trial

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have been embroiled in a legal battle for several years. The couple has amassed a number of legal strategies to use against each other in court. Both Johnny Depp and Amber Heard appeared in court recently as his defamation trial against her began in Fairfax, Virginia, and they were both barred from signing autographs or posing for photos during the trial.

Rolling Stone reports that Amber Heard has accused Johnny Depp of sexually assaulting her near the end of their marriage while she was blacked out drunk. The claim was made during Depp’s continuing defamation trial against Heard, which is taking place in Virginia’s Fairfax County Courthouse.

Depp is suing Heard for defamation after she claimed to be a survivor of domestic abuse in an op-ed in the Washington Post. Ben Chew and Camille Vasquez, his legal team, have disputed the allegations.

These fictitious claims were never made at the onset of Amber’s allegations in 2016, and only advantageously surfaced years later once she was sued for defamation after noting in her op-ed that she was a victim of ‘sexual violence.’ Words are key in a defamation case and conveniently, this allegation only came after that. This follows a pattern of her elaborate, erroneous claims which have continued to change and evolve over time for the purpose of Hollywood shock value of which Amber has mastered and used to exploit a serious social movement.
