Recently, Britney Spears announced that she is pregnant with her first child with fiancé Sam Asghari and Kevin Federline has something to say about it.
Kevin’s attorney, Mark Kaplan, told E! News, “Kevin is aware of the recent posting by Britney regarding her announced pregnancy and wishes her a happy and healthy pregnancy and congratulates her and Sam Asghari as they go through the excitement of planning parenthood together.”
Kevin and Britney got married back in September 2004 after they dated for five months. Soon after that, in September 2006, Britney filed for a divorce. The former couple also shares two sons together, Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden, 15.
Britney’s pregnancy news has been quite the trending topic after she made the announcement on Instagram on April 11. She posted a photo of a teacup and flowers and explain that she noticed she had put on some weight after a recent trip to Hawaii with her fiancé Sam.
She captioned her post, “I got a pregnancy test … and uhhhhh well … I am having a baby.”
Britney has been open about how she wants another child. While she was addressing a Los Angeles court back in June 2021, she stated, “I want to be able to get married and have a baby. I was told right now in the conservatorship I am not able to get married or have a baby. I have an [IUD] inside of myself so I don’t get pregnant. They don’t want me to have children—any more children.” By “they” she refers to her former conservatorship that is controlled by her father Jamie Spears and his team. In November 2021, Britney’s conservatorship ended after 13years.
She added, “I deserve to have the same rights as anybody does by having a child, a family, any of those things.”
Sam also expressed how he is ready to be a father in his recent Instagram post. H posted a picture of two lions with a cub and wrote, “Marriage and kids are a natural part of a strong relationship filled with love and respect. Fatherhood is something i have always looked forward to and i don’t take lightly. It is the most important job i will ever do.”
