Kirk Franklin’s Son Kerrion Remains Incarcerated With No Bond

Kirk Franklin has received numerous honors, including 16 Grammy Awards for outstanding gospel music. This situation is not very godly at all.

Despite Kirk Franklin’s many accomplishments, he always had a strained relationship with his son Kerrion Franklin. Kerrion made a lot of headlines in recent years, but this time it appears to be much more serious, as he’ll be dragged to court today.

The famous Gospel singer’s son remains behind bars without the option of bonding out but will appear before a judge today. According to court records obtained by Radar Online, the 33-year-old’s first hearing after his Sunday arrest is scheduled for Tuesday.

Kerrion, who is estranged from his father, is a star on Zeus Television’s Bad Boys: Los Angeles. Kirk’s son was arrested at 7:36 a.m. after being pulled over by Beverly Hills police, as previously reported. At 10:28 a.m., he was booked into jail and assigned a permanent housing location.

According to police records, Kerrion was arrested by the Beverly Hills Police Department. The “no bond” part is intriguing, given that he was only arrested on a misdemeanor charge. The reality star will be taken to a courthouse near Los Angeles International Airport later today. He will be informed as to why he is not permitted to be released.

There was also an exclusive from Larry Reid Live, in which Kerrion delivered a message from jail saying he was “wrongfully arrested and stopped because of his taillight.” He is scheduled to appear before a judge today. He appears to be being held without bond as a result of an incident in Texas, as well as a gun being discovered in his car during his arrest. He has since denied any involvement with the gun.

Kerrion is also rumored to be dealing with legal issues outside of Texas. The judge could order Kerrion to be flown out to deal with the situation. Kirk has yet to issue a statement on the matter, but fans should not hold their breath. For years, the famous singer and his son have been at odds in public.
