Russell Westbrook Called Delusional After Claiming Unfair Treatment By Lakers

Russell Westbrook recently criticized the Los Angeles Lakers organization. The team just completed a disaster of a campaign that saw them miss the playoffs and fire their head coach, despite a roster of stars. Westbrook also had plenty of issues with LeBron James throughout the year.

Westbrook complained publicly that he did not like the way he was treated by the Lakers. Many fans have called out Russ for this take, noting that his performance was sub-par. Now, a major media personality has weighed in on the situation.

Skip Bayless took Russell Westbrook to task on this morning’s edition of Undisputed. Bayless called Westbrook delusional for his line of thinking about his treatment in Los Angeles. Bayless believes it is all sour grapes for his horrible season.

“In all my years of watching every sport very closely, I have never, ever seen a player as defiantly delusional as this player.”

Russell Westbrook’s poor performance may have been his ticket out of Los Angeles. If the rumors of a rift between Russ and LeBron James are true, that could be the catalyst. A new coach might not want to deal with it, either.

It will be a very interesting offseason for Lakers fans. The team must now find a new head coach. They very well could be looking for a replacement for Russell Westbrook as well.
