In the main event of UFC 270, Francis Ngannou defended his UFC Heavyweight Championship against Ciryl Gane. Ngannou won the fight, but many fans felt his performance was not up to par. There was a very good reason for that.

It was revealed that Ngannou was injured while competing in the fight. Right after that, Ngannou underwent knee surgery in Los Angeles, California, to repair his torn MCL and for the reconstruction of the ACL as well.

Since then, Ngannou has been determined to recover as soon as possible. Ngannou even admitted that he might not have gotten surgery, had he known how horrible it would be.

Francis Ngannou took to his Instagram and uploaded a video of himself already walking without crutches. This is a great sign as it has only been 24 days since his operation.
